Seekers Program Instructor

Doylestown, PA | Part Time, Hourly | Mondays: 4pm - 7pm | $13.50 per hour

We are looking for a Seekers Program Instructor to join our team at the Y! We spend our days positively impacting the community around us. We help young adults increase independence through community based activities, job skill exploration, and healthy living experiences.

What is needed for this job as our Seekers Program Instructor:

  • 18+ years of age
  • 1+ years of experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • Excellent communication skills and able to work with others
  • Availability to work evening shifts

 

The responsibilities we will trust you with as our Seekers Program Instructor:

  • Safely supervise and lead participants through provided activities
  • Adapting program activities to suit each participant’s needs
  • Positively engage and interact with participants while encouraging positive socialization between participants
  • Safely supervise and lead participants through provided daily activities
  • Provide supervision to all program areas ensuring participants are never left unattended, taking counts when participants travel to and from the main facility
  • Acknowledge different learning styles and meet the needs of each participant
  • Develop strong relationships with participants and their families through communication and actions 
  • Provide feedback to participants and parents/guardians on individual performance
  • Maintain confidentiality of all participants
  • Complete incident reports
  • Take attendance of participants
  • Support the training and development of new hires
