Key Responsibility:

• Preparing patients
• Conducting diagnostic imaging
• Assisting with fluoroscopy
• Administering contrast agents
• Producing quality diagnostic studies
• Provide on-site radiology services at Northport VAMC. Modalities include:
  1. General Radiography (X-ray, fluoroscopy)
  2. Computed Tomography (CT)
  3. Magnetic Resonance (MR)

Qualifications:

• Must hold full, unrestricted state license in Radiologic Technology
• ARRT certification in general radiology; advanced ARRT certification for CT and MR technologists
• Must meet VA Qualification Standard for Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (GS-0647) per VA Handbook 5005/119 Appendix G25
• Minimum 3 years of recent experience in advanced modality (CT/MR)
• Required compliance with BLS training, continuing education, immunizations (TB, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Flu, COVID-19), and OSHA bloodborne pathogen standards

Position Type: Full-time, Contract (November 1, 2025 – October 31, 2026) Contract may be extended for an additional six (6) months.

Work Hours: 24/7 coverage required including weekends and Federal holidays. Day shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Evening shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM, Night shift: 11:30 PM – 8:00 AM
