In this role, you will...
Oversee Human Services contracts, including reimbursements and compliance.
Provide technical support for funding applications, reporting, and payment processes.
Review, analyze, and develop funding requests, applications, and reporting tools.
Establish and manage systems to ensure compliance with program goals and requirements.
Collaborate with funding applicants and recipients on goals, contract terms, and reporting procedures.
Ensure funding requests meet technical and programmatic standards.
Monitor program performance and compliance through site visits and documentation reviews.
Maintain comprehensive records of funded programs and agencies.
Prepare complex reports and plans for internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies.
Lead all HR activities for Contract Specialist staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and workload assignments.
Guide the Contract Specialist team on contract management, payment reviews, monitoring, and service gap analysis.
Develop, negotiate, and manage contracts and interagency agreements, including budgets and timelines.
Serve as liaison to the Clerk's Audit Office; document internal controls and coordinate nonprofit compliance.
Develop and implement community human services strategies based on stakeholder input.
Represent the department at public meetings and workshops to share program information and updates.
Assist in managing the Contracted Human Services Budget.
Coordinate service delivery across community partners and lead special initiatives.
Support advisory councils and staff liaisons on human services and behavioral health matters.
Lead fraud risk assessments, manage audits, and implement corrective actions to strengthen controls.
About the Schedule
Work Hours:
Full-Time, 40 hours per week.
Typical Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Occasional weekends, as needed).
As a reminder, all county employees are considered essential and must be prepared to protect and support the community and its citizens. Each employee, without exception, will have a duty assignment and be required to work during a disaster or declared emergency.
About You
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from a college or university preferred.
-OR- 2-year associate’s degree -AND- 2 years of experience.
-OR- Minimum of High School Diploma and 4 years of related experience -AND- A minimum of one-year supervisory experience is required (lead worker or acting in a supervisory capacity may be counted).
Valid Florida driver's license by date of hire.
About Everything Else
Starting Pay Range: $57,179.20 annually.
