As an Enterprise Network Designer, you will be driving the technical, architectural decisions and guardrails of the business for building and shaping the enterprise network across public and private cloud.

You will be working with the wider business to ensure we are building scalable, secure and reliable systems for our customers and working with the existing architecture, security, engineering and 3rd party teams to ensure we are following both industry and PXC best practices

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuously analyse existing enterprise networks across public and private cloud against new security principles and best practices.

  • Review and approve all non-templated firewall changes implemented by 3rd party support

  • Develop standardised templated firewall changes

  • Govern and be the supplier owner of the 3rd party who looks after our enterprise networks across public and private cloud

  • Design enterprise networks across public and private cloud using network patterns and best practices.

  • Creation, assistance and review of both High-level and Low-level designs.

  • Propose and build repeatable enterprise network patterns to improve security, accelerate network development, improve resiliency and reduce costs.

  • Be an SME for the enterprise networks across public and private cloud ecosystems.

  • Have the ability to drive enterprise networks across the software life cycle by adopting modern engineering practices including DevSecOps, Automation testing, Application security and tools.

  • Responsible for the evaluation of technical risks and map out mitigation and placement strategies.

  • Responsible for advising on enterprise networks across public and private cloud to effectively meet the strategic needs of the business

  • Work closely with the Enterprise Architects, Security Architects, Application Architects and 3rd Parties to ensure enterprise networks designs meet security and business requirements from a cloud technology perspective.

  • Work closely with business analysists, project managers and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into network deployments.

  • Support the delivery teams with guided approaches, skill development and bridging the enterprise networks gaps.

  • Ensure connectivity requirements and security is ingrained as part of every design.

What Will Make You Successful in This Role?

  • Strong work experience in enterprise networks design across public and private cloud and development with Architecting solutions for both greenfield/brownfields.

  • Strong experience working as a Network Engineer

  • Strong experience in the large transformation of infrastructure using network technologies.

  • Experience in adopting and implementing recognised frameworks like ISO 27002

  • Strong PaaS and SaaS experience with enterprise networks solutions

  • FinOps experience.

  • Demonstrated experience with multiple toolsets and adaptability to learn new tools and processes.

  • Experience with performing discovery and assessment of overall infrastructure portfolio, IT and business priorities, and stakeholder insights to create a modernization roadmap.

  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team, as well as with various stakeholders.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills to effectively articulate complex network concepts.
