Responsibilities

  • Lead development of Nouryon’s annual Scope 3 emissions inventory, including data collection, and other critical sustainability data for annual reporting. 
  • Drive continuous improvement aligned with globally recognized standards, including calculation methodologies, emission factors, and approaches.
  • Implement process improvements and build data reporting templates and tools to increase productivity, standardization and improve accuracy
  • Conduct benchmarking studies and develop presentation materials to facilitate strategic decisions 
  • Contribute to Nouryon’s annual Sustainability Report amidst a rapidly evolving and complex regulatory reporting landscape.  Ensure data quality, accuracy, and relevance.
  • Support sustainability requests from customers, external stakeholders, etc.
  • Support sustainability ratings (EcoVadis, CDP) and external submissions (UN Global Compact)
  • Monitor developments in the field of sustainability and socialize insights to inform best practices
  • Investigate opportunities for improvement and help build business cases for change.
  • Act as a sustainability advocate by promoting achievements and building awareness both internally and externally
  • Support Nouryon’s sustainability program across 3 pillars: IMPROVE, GROW, and ENGAGE 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

 

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Expert in the GHG Protocol with experience in in developing emissions inventories and carbon accounting. 
  • Experience in assessing decarbonization opportunities a plus.
  • Adept at developing PowerPoint slides with polished visuals
  • Project management experience, with an ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects and demonstrate effective planning and decision making 
  • Ability to work effectively in a global team – across functions and time zones with people of diverse backgrounds
  • Experience with sustainability reporting and disclosure (GRI, SASB, TCFD), and ratings (CDP, EcoVadis) a plus.
