Job Summary
The Executive Director, Comcast India Engineering Center (CIEC), is a senior leader within Customer Experience IT (CXIT)—the organization responsible for delivering the technology platforms which power personalized, seamless, intelligent, reliable, and secure interactions for Comcast’s customers and front-line employees. This leader is responsible for providing strategic leadership and executive oversight of the cross-functional engineering teams based in India that support these platforms.In this role, the Executive Director will contribute to the overall CXIT business and technology strategy, lead delivery execution, and provide local leadership across multiple engineering teams. Reporting directly to the Vice President of CXIT in the U.S., the Executive Director will serve as the most senior CXIT executive in India.
This position is designed to scale CXIT’s delivery capability, strengthen cross-regional collaboration, grow regional technical talent, and ensure that the CIEC organization operates in tight alignment with CXIT’s global goals, culture, and engineering standards. The Executive Director will also work closely with other Comcast technology leaders in CIEC to foster collaboration, share best practices, and contribute to a unified, high-performing engineering culture across India.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the growth, performance, and cultural development of CXIT’s engineering teams based in CIEC, ensuring they are aligned to Comcast’s vision, CXIT's mission, and evolving business needs.
- Lead Software Development and Engineering teams in the development and maintenance of software and web applications. Provide continued support for existing applications and applications in development.
- Partner with US Leaders across CXIT to define and maintain a global workforce strategy
- Create and drive organizational development and strategies.
- Maintain and grow a strong pipeline of technical and leadership talent
- Partner with U.S. domain leaders and platform owners to align roadmaps, manage releases, and support change management across global teams.
- Build collaborative relationships with other Comcast technology teams operating in CIEC to foster knowledge sharing, engineering best practices, and workforce synergy.
- Communicate and establish relationships with vendors and other functional areas of the business
- Provide leadership and direction to department personnel for management and non-exempt employees.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
