About the role

 

Band 4 - base salary from $99,189 per annum (plus super) - total package to be negotiated with preferred candidate based on skills and experience 

 

We’re looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our Digital team and play a key role in supporting both day-to-day operations and key digital projects, ensuring our infrastructure platforms meet the needs of the business and our customers.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Delivering secure, robust and efficient infrastructure platforms for TasNetworks and our customers.
  • Providing technical delivery for operational and project initiatives, ensuring system availability meets or exceeds service levels.
  • Installing, integrating, testing and supporting infrastructure across production and development environments.
  • Participating in change and release management processes, including system changes during outage windows.
  • Assisting with incident escalation and resolution, plus maintaining documentation, processes and standards.
  • Being actively involved in technical decision making on infrastructure-related matters.

 

About you

 

Our ideal candidate will offer expert technical ability and excellent interpersonal skills. You will be self-motivated with excellent problem-solving ability. You will also hold: 

 

  • A qualification (or equivalent professional experience) in Information Technology.
  • Strong infrastructure and/or cloud knowledge gained in a similar technical environment.
  • Experience supporting large-scale IT environments with a focus on availability and performance.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Capable and available to attend to enquiries on an ‘on call’ roster
  • An understanding of leading-edge technology solutions and how to apply them in practice.
