The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Accounting  Associate to support the day-to-day cash and banking operations across Australia and New Zealand. This role ensures accurate processing, reconciliation, and reporting of financial transactions, providing a strong foundation in accounting practices, compliance, and system usage. You will contribute to the smooth running of business funding and audit readiness.

 

 

Role Responsibilities

 

  • Monitor and report on daily cash balances to ensure sufficient funding for business needs.
  • Reconcile AU/NZ SAP clearing accounts and investigate uncleared items.
  • Coordinate daily banking activities, including payment processing and approvals.
  • Process monthly journals and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Ensure third-party invoices are accurately processed and approved in SAP.
  • Support internal control activities to achieve strong audit outcomes, including SOX compliance.
  • Oversee dealer incentive claims and reconcile monthly balances.
  • Maintain schedules for medium-term note funding and ensure timely external interest repayments.
  • Complete credit card reconciliations and ensure expense claims are entered into SAP.
  • Process AU and NZ bank entries in SAP.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Complete NZ BAS return on time.

With strong expertise in financial accuracy, technical accounting, and process innovation, you are an energetic self-starter and excellent team player who takes pride in your work and environment.

  • Technical accounting knowledge
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Above-the-line mindset—proactive, accountable, and solution-oriented.

 

What Makes You Stand Out (Desired):

  • Experience with ERPs eg SAP.
  • Experience with RPA and AI
  • Experience with GST calculations and BAS submissions
  • Analytical thinking and tech savviness
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new systems and processes
  • Critical thinking
  • Curiosity and lifelong learning 

 

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous experience in banking or financial operations preferred.
