Job Description

What will you do?

You will support all assigned security and fire protection activities for GM. Coach and support security operations personnel. You consult with local operations and site leadership to ensure their satisfaction with security services provided. Support the local implementation of corporate security policies. Initiate continuous improvement activities to ensure quality and cost-effective security and fire services. Provide quality assurance for purchased security and fire protection services. Support the Global Security staff with security investigations on an as-needed basis. Provide support for the implementation and execution of local emergency response plans, crisis management plans, and security service quality initiatives and processes. You Communicate regularly with other GM leadership regarding important security issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct safety inspections, incident investigations, review safe work methods, and provide safety guidance to all employees and contractors
  • Supervise high-risk activities
  • Train Maintenance and Operations personnel
  • Provide training to Performance Standards and NOMs Champions
  • Review and validate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Review high-risk activities with plant personnel and suppliers
  • Review risk analyses
  • Follow up on the implementation of WSS Level 3
  • Monitor the implementation of Performance Standard

Work Appropriately

  • On Site: This position requires to work on site on a full-time basis
  • Availability to work rotating shifts on a 4x3 schedule

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in the field
  • Knowledge of Safety, projects and NOM´s.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Intermediate English level
  • Programming knowledge is desirable
  • Knowledge and/or certification in NOMs and emergency response
