The Role
We are looking for a dynamic Vice President of Human Resources to lead all aspects of Human Resources across Felix Health and our pharmacy subsidiaries. Reporting directly to the COO, this role will be a key member of the executive team and a strategic partner to the business, shaping company culture, building scalable people programs, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations across Canada.
The VP of HR will oversee the entire HR function, including talent acquisition, organizational development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, learning and development, and HR operations. This is a highly impactful leadership role, while the focus is on strategy and leadership, we’re a growing company, so we’re looking for someone who’s excited to jump into the details when it makes sense.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Partner with the executive team to define and execute the people strategy that supports Felix Health’s growth and mission.
Serve as a trusted advisor as part of the executive team on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent strategies.
Leverage HR metrics and workforce analytics to provide insights and guide strategic decision-making.
Culture & Engagement
Champion Felix Health’s values, fostering an inclusive and high-performance culture across all business units and pharmacy subsidiaries.
Sponsor company-wide engagement initiatives, empowering the People team to execute programs that drive employee satisfaction and retention for both in person and remote based team members.
Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategy and ensure measurable progress toward goals.
Talent Acquisition & Development
Oversee recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent across clinical, pharmacy, and corporate functions.
Drive the development of career frameworks, leadership development, and learning initiatives, while enabling the HRBP to implement and scale programs.
Build a strategy to strengthen our employer brand and network in the healthcare and tech communities.
Compensation, Benefits & HR Operations
Design and manage competitive and compliant compensation and benefits programs.
Oversee HR systems, policies, and scalable processes while supporting the team in day-to-day delivery.
Monitor external trends and regulatory changes to proactively adapt compensation and workforce practices.
Employee Relations & Compliance
Own the overall employee relations strategy and philosophy, ensuring managers are equipped with the right frameworks and guidance.
Provide executive-level oversight of complex employee relations issues, while enabling the HRBP to manage day-to-day cases.
Ensure HR practices comply with Canadian labour and employment laws across all provinces where Felix and subsidiaries operate.
HR Team Leadership
Lead, coach and grow the HR team, empowering them to deliver operational excellence.
Balance strategic priorities with hands-on execution where needed. From leading key initiatives to stepping in on time-sensitive projects.
Build the capacity of the team to take on greater responsibility as the organization scales.
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role.
Experience scaling HR functions in multi-site or multi-entity organizations (healthcare, pharmacy, or regulated industries an asset).
Experience in a high-growth tech company is considered a bonus.
Strong knowledge of Canadian employment law and HR best practices.
Proven success in building people strategies that drive engagement, retention, and organizational performance.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to operate at both the strategic and tactical level, rolling up your sleeves as needed.
