Lab Tech Per Diem Varied presso Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center

Position Summary:

Assists the Clinical Laboratory Scientist in the pre-analytic, and post-analytic phase of testing, following rules set by CLIA, CA Bus. And Prof. Code. Performs blood draws and functions as a backup to the Laboratory Assistant when needed.

Minimum Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education:

• N/A

Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications:

• One year phlebotomy experience in a hospital laboratory
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Preferred Work Experience and Qualifications:

• Phlebotomy experience preferred
• One to two years of experience as Lab Technician preferred

Required Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation:

• California CPT1 Certification
• BLS Card
• Hospital Fire Card
• Assault Response Competency (ARC) required within 30 days of hire
