Step into leadership with The Arc Western Montana!
We’re looking for compassionate, dependable people to join our team as Shift Leads, supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
In this position, you’ll work directly with Clients, guide your teammates, and help keep our homes running smoothly during evening and weekend shifts. You won’t be managing a team, but you will be a key resource others rely on.  


Position: Direct Support Professional

Location: Group Homes around Missoula


What We Offer:

  

  • Starting rate of $17.00 an hour
  • Increase to $19 an hour upon successful completion of onboard training and certifications  
  • Full-time, 40 hour per week schedules available

Your Role:

  • Support Clients with daily living activities like meals, hygiene, and medications
  • Model best practices for other staff and help maintain consistent, high-quality care
  • Assist with community outings, social events, and skill-building activities
  • Provide on-the-job training to DSPs in areas like vitals, oxygen use, medications, and engagement
  • Maintain accurate documentation and program data
  • Help bridge communication between shifts to support continuity of care
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment for Clients

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous Direct Support Professional experience preferred but not required; experience in caregiving or as a CNA would also be relevant.
  • A valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • A team player looking to take the next step in their career
  • Strong written and verbal communication
