Center Art LLC, managed by the Space Needle LLC, is partnering with Chihuly Studio to operate the Chihuly Garden and Glass Exhibition on the Seattle Center grounds next to the Space Needle.  


GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:

The Admissions Lead reports to the Admissions Supervisor and supports Center Art’s mission, vision, and values by exhibiting the following behaviors: excellence, competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, personalization, accountability, and ownership.  


The Admissions Lead is responsible for assisting Admissions Managers and Supervisors in leading the Admissions Team. They will take a leading role in the training, advancement, and success of the team. They will act as a liaison between Admissions Agents and management and discuss ideas and concerns at regular meetings while maintaining a safe, fun, and positive environment. 


PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain a high degree of communication with the management team.  
  • Ensure that all Admissions Agents are equipped with the tools and skills to successfully carry out their duties and responsibilities. 
  • Monitor upselling techniques and work with the Admissions Agents to increase opportunities to pair appropriate ticket types as well as Chihuly Garden and Glass offerings to guests. 
  • Create and supervise the break schedule, in compliance with company and Washington State labor laws. Provide additional coverage whenever necessary. 
  • Monitor and coach Admissions Agents on uniform, grooming, and other significant policies. 
  • Attend monthly leadership meetings and provide an update on your department’s progress and status. 
  • Meet weekly with the direct manager of your department and discuss possible areas of improvement, trends, and energy of the Admissions Agent team. 
  • Complete On-line shipping orders.
  • Ensure event tickets are printed accurately each week.
  • Weekly maintenance of the POS hardware. 
  • Receiving/stocking/relocating ticket stock inventory when shipments arrive and during times of replenishment. 
  • Product and discount maintenance. 
  • Provide assistance during software and hardware upgrades and deployments. 
  • Assist in the training of all new Admissions Agents and update materials when necessary. 
  • Assist Supervisors and Managers in preparing Admissions meetings and take minutes.  
  • Confirm that schedules are readily available to all Admissions Agents and communicate any coverage gaps to management. 
  • Track and recommend necessary supply orders. 
  • Remain professional and courteous to all guests.  
  • Implement both proven and innovative up-selling strategies. 
  • Assist management in maintaining the asset tracking database. 
  • All other duties assigned to the Admissions Lead position. 
  • Any other responsibilities as defined by Management.  


OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain the highest standards by adhering to both company and departmental standards. 
  • Understand Chihuly Garden and Glass emergency and fire/life/safety procedures and your role in its implementation. 
  • Understand general Chihuly Garden and Glass Security procedures. 
  • Reassure and give directions to guests in the event of an emergency. 

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Ability to work on special events, full time, and 2 out of 3 weekend days (Fri/Sat/Sun).  
  • Ability to work at least 50% of holidays including: New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day. 
  • Proven professional and engaging courtesy and guest service qualities. 
  • Proven peer leader and role model with the ability to promote professionalism and lead by example. 
  • Computer and email literate. Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite family of applications. 
  • Able to multi-task and complete projects with deadlines. 
  • Ability to become CPR and First Aid certified. 
  • Ability to work independently. 
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds, use manual dexterity entire shift and work in confined space. 
  • Valid Washington State driver’s license with a clean driving record. 

Full Time, Hourly Position

Hourly Rate: $22.82 to 22.82 / hour
