Overview
The Business and Economics Department at Ursinus College invites applications for a tenure-track position or non-tenure-track ("Collegiate") at the Assistant Professor level to begin Fall 2026. Applicants are invited from all areas of business. We seek teacher-scholars who are passionate about undergraduate education and research.
Responsibilities
Teaching responsibilities will include introductory business, organizational behavior, advanced business electives, and business ethics. The teaching load for this position is 3 courses in one semester and 2 courses in the other semester for tenure-track faculty, and 3 courses in each semester for Collegiate faculty. The successful candidate will also be expected to establish a research program that engages student researchers with opportunities for co-publications and presentations. Preference will be given to candidates enthusiastic for teaching a wide variety of courses including business analytics, sports management, and consumer behavior. The successful candidate will also contribute to the Common Intellectual Experience first-year seminar, the open questions curriculum, and Ursinus’ new APEX (Applied, Professional, and Experiential) initiative. The successful applicant will reflect incorporation of the open questions and APEX and demonstrate outstanding potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching and development of a productive research program that provides opportunities for undergraduate student achievement.
Requirements and Qualifications
A MBA, MS, or Ph.D. in Business or a related field is required for consideration for a Collegiate faculty position, and a Ph.D. or DBA in Business or a related field is required for consideration for a tenure-track faculty position.
