Sawmill Animal Hospital, the oldest and most trusted veterinary practice in Jones County, is seeking an experienced Veterinarian to join our established, high-performing team in Laurel, Mississippi.

This is a unique opportunity for a confident, skilled DVM who enjoys the balance of medical and surgical cases, values clinical autonomy, and wants to contribute to a deep-rooted practice with generations of loyal clients.
This role is best suited for a veterinarian with a strong foundation in general practice and soft tissue surgery.

Qualifications:

We’re looking for:

  • Full Time OR Part Time Veterinarian
  • New graduates seeking mentorship are encouraged to apply
  • Compassionate, Team Player and Strong Communicator
  • Proficient in general medicine and surgery 
  • Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an AVMA accredited university
  • Current DEA License or obtained upon hire
  • Active Veterinary State License 
  • USDA Accreditation or obtained upon hire

What We’re Looking For:

  • DVM or equivalent from an accredited university

  • Active Mississippi veterinary license (or ability to obtain)

  • 2+ years of clinical experience in small animal practice

  • Competency in soft tissue surgery and dentistry

  • Excellent client communication and teamwork skills
