The application deadline is Wednesday, October 1, 2025 by 11:59 p.m. (EST). This is an MEP pay grade 21 position. Two (2) Professional Letters of Recommendation signed or electronic signature and dated within the last 12 months (one year) of the application.  References must be from a person who can assess your ability as an administrator or your work ethic and character. Conferred Transcripts with a Graduation Date: Current M-DCPS employees do not need to submit official transcripts if highest degree earned is on file in the Office of Personnel Records (305-995-7258). For external candidates, official transcripts will be required if you are recommended for the position.  Your degree must be from an accredited university. If the position does not require a college degree, you are required to have at least a high school diploma. Candidates with academic training and degrees granted outside the U.S. must submit a credential evaluation report that includes a statement of degree equivalency from an accredited agency in the U.S.

OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY                                    

 

Provides leadership and direction in the specific subject by planning, implementing, providing training, developing support materials and supervising curricular programs.  Works in cooperation with other supervisors within and across disciplines to support the training and implementation procedures associated with curriculum.

 

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

 

1.            Assists in the monitoring of instructional programs districtwide.

 

2.            Assists with the development of appropriate procedures for the administrative and programming review for school site visitations and instructional program reviews.

 

3.            Supervises and provides instructional, technical support and assistance in the implementation of services to designated school sites and programs.

 

4.            Reviews and supports the implementation of School Improvement Plans for schools requiring school improvement as identified by the Florida Department of Education.

 

5.            Provides technical assistance and instructional support for follow-up activities that support school improvement and to outside organizations delivering services to at-risk students.

 

6.            Provides District assistance in the planning and implementation of parent involvement and educational activities to support instruction.

 

7.            Communicates with school personnel, parents, and community members regarding proper procedures for alternative placements.

 

8.            Develops and maintains working relationships with district offices, public and private sector agencies and colleges and universities that provide services to participating students in order to facilitate student achievement.

 

9.            Serves on a variety of school district councils and committees established to promote and enhance parent involvement and student achievement.

 

10.         Performs other duties related to the general administrative responsibilities of the position.

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

This work requires the following physical activities: sitting, mobility, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity.  The work is performed primarily indoors.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

1.            Master’s degree in education, business, public administration or related field with certification in educational leadership or administration/supervision K-12.

 

2.            Three (3) years teaching experience.

 

3.            Three (3) years supervisory or administrative experience working with adults.

 

4.            Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
