As an Engineering Project/Capital Systems Manager, your role is the site point of contact and owner for the Capital Management System and procurement. The Engineering Project/Capital Systems Manger works directly with Site Engineering Manager for budgets, forecasts, and master planning while ensuring monthly forecasting accuracy. The Engineering Project/Capital Systems Manger also communicates required procedures and training related to capital management and procurement for the site. The Engineering Project/Capital Systems Manger also leads projects and initiatives per the business need for the site.
Responsibilities
As an Engineering Project/Capital Systems Manager, some of your essential duties and responsibilities may include the following:
Capital/Expense Systems Management
- Site capital work process owner for Duracell work systems (DWS) for Initiative management (IM) which includes training and qualification to ensure capability and compliance for project execution.
- Owns the Capital Systems work in Internal Controls; auditing work completed on time and any issues proactively shared to drive resolution and process improvement.
- Leads the Capital Key Element Assessment and KPI, stewardship audits of Capital Systems.
- Engages Global Engineering Capital System network to build capability in self and bring capability building to the site. Leads any Capital System meetings for the site.
- Maintains and updates site capital master plan for site engineering manager.
- Coordinates and works closely site engineering leader for all alignment.
- Generates SAP reports for project managers and/or site engineering manager.
- Owns/leads spending/budget reviews to ensure monthly forecast accuracy for project capital and expense.
- Reconciles SAP budgets for all capital projects.
- Responsible for reviewing/uploading all funding documents to ensure that all requirements are met prior to technical concurrence and approval routing (STEAM).
- Create WBS Element structure in SAP in alignment with project manager.
- Collaborate with corporate finance and accounting resources to meet standards through audits.
- Collaborate with all aspects of the business: operations, finance, engineering, global shared services including external vendors and suppliers.
- Assists engineer/project manager/finance with asset tagging.
Project Management
- Lead all aspects of the project lifecycle, working with project sponsors/key stakeholders, team members, and management to oversee all phases of project completion.
- Develop detailed cost estimates for various project components, including labor, materials, equipment, and other resources.
- Providing data and analysis to support informed decision-making related to project costs.
- Create documentation for project funding requests and follow up until approved.
- Monitor project expenditures, identifying variances from the budget, and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan.
- Create project-based communication (agendas, minutes, status, schedules, information materials) and distribute information appropriately.
- Capture project issues/actions, ensure clear ownership of resolutions, and tracks to closure.
- Prepare Annual/ Quarterly/Monthly project forecast - with close collaboration with other stakeholders and Finance.

- Good verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Good organizational skills, including a high level of attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to travel globally when needed.

- Have experience with SAP
- Have strong MS Excel skills
- Examples of multi-taking, effectively and successfully, multiple projects simultaneously
- 1-3 years of relevant experience required, preferably managing manufacturing projects
Preferred but not required skills:
- Project Management training and/or certification
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications, most notably Project, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Working knowledge of SAP project management module is desired but not essential
- Power BI
