This is a part-time role of 10–12 hours per week, with the possibility of split shifts (before or after the workday, or both). It’s a great opportunity for someone who wants consistent hours in a supportive workplace while making an impact in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Comprehensive Cleaning:

• Perform regular cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and surface cleaning in various areas, including common spaces, office areas, restrooms, and other high-traffic locations.
• Ensure waste bins are emptied and disposed of properly to maintain cleanliness throughout the facility.

Disinfection and Sanitization:

• Regularly disinfect high-touch surfaces (e.g., door handles, light switches, and workstations) to prevent the spread of germs and maintain hygiene.
• Sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other communal spaces to ensure a safe and clean environment for all employees.

Facility-Specific Cleaning:

• Cater to the unique cleaning needs of logistics facilities, including specialized tasks such as cleaning loading docks, freezers, and racking systems.
• Ensure all areas meet health and safety standards to reduce risks associated with workplace accidents and contamination.

Worker Safety and Well-Being:

• Create and maintain a sanitary environment that supports the health and safety of employees, minimizing sick days and promoting a productive workplace.
• Identify potential safety hazards related to cleanliness and work with management to address them promptly.

Operational Efficiency:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of the facility to reduce downtime, streamline operations, and enhance the efficiency of logistics processes.
• Support the flow of operations by ensuring that areas are cleaned and prepared for daily activities, reducing the potential for delays.

Cost-Effectiveness:

• Deliver professional cleaning services that are both efficient and cost-effective, offering value over in-house cleaning solutions, especially for large-scale facilities.
• Assist in optimizing cleaning schedules to reduce costs while maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Proactive Maintenance:

• Provide proactive maintenance services, such as light and bulb replacements, to avoid disruptions and ensure continuous facility operations.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure all equipment and systems are functioning optimally.

• Experience in commercial janitorial or facility maintenance, preferably in a logistics or industrial setting.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle physical tasks and operate cleaning equipment safely.
• Flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of logistics facilities.
