Mile High Flea Market, Denver’s oldest and favorite flea market for over 40 years, is looking for a professional, personable and reliable Painter to join our construction team. As a member of our team, you will maintain the appearance of our market from prep work to patching and painting. An eye for detail and the ability to identify areas for improvement are a must. Duties:

• Maintains all marketplace buildings, food service stands, seller buildings, office buildings, warehouse locations, mobile carts, wagons, carts, rides, and fencing.
• Removes old paint from surfaces to prepare for new paint.
• Sands surfaces prior to painting a new coat.
• Fills nail holes, cracks, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other filler.
• Removes fixtures such as pictures and electrical switch covers from walls prior to painting
• Spreads drop cloths over floors and room furnishings prior to painting.
• Covers baseboards, door frames, and windows with masking tape to protect surfaces when painting.
• Selects premixed paint, or mix required portions of pigment, oil, thinning, and drying substances to prepare paint to match specific colors.
• Sets up ladders or scaffolding to perform tasks above ground level. Paints surfaces with brushes, spray gun or paint rollers.
• Applies paint with cloths, brushes, sponges, or fingers to create special effects.
• Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Some snow removal may require an occasional weekend.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Requirements:

• Driver's License a MUST
• Know how to use the correct tools and test equipment as needed.
• Ability to problem-solve.
• Ability to take constructive criticism.
• Positive attitude.
• Communicate professionally and in a timely manner to team members.
• Must have 4 years of work experience

Schedule:  

• Monday – Friday 7am-3:30pm (Weekend flexibility a must)
