As a global leader in Stainless Steel, we're seeking an Electrical Engineering Specialist and be part of our Cold Rolling Works Maintenance  team in Calvert, Mobile County, Alabama. 
 
Objective: Responsible for defining opportunities for improvement, measuring the key parameters, analyzing the acquired data, implementing the chosen solution, and controlling the process to verify the implementation of the chosen solution. The Electrical Specialist will use a variety of tools like process data acquisition systems, surveys and statistical control, in addition to their technical expertise, to improve the safety, quality, reliability, efficiency and productivity.

Job qualifications and experience requirements:
•    High School -EGD + 15 years of experience within engineering discipline.
•    Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering preferred.
•    Proven experience as manufacturing electrical engineer 
•    Knowledge in programming and troubleshooting in PLC Siemens S7/PCS7 WinCC and Allen Bradley.
•    Experience in calibration and troubleshooting in Instrumentation for flow temperature, pressure and weighing systems, repair and troubleshooting for drives, motors MCC’s and breakers for low and medium voltage.
•    Computer proficient with Microsoft based programs. SAP/ PM, or other maintenance management system preferred.

Some responsibilities are:
•    Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, reliability, efficiency and productivity.
•    Work in concert with the Process and Mechanical Engineers, Shift Leaders, Team Members and other departments to identify improvements and implement coordinated solutions.
•    Facilitate the identification and/or implementation of Best Practices.
•    Continuous Improvement across all teams.
•    Troubleshoot problems in the electrical systems with the electrical maintenance and production teams.
•    Using systematic approach to solving problems including root cause analysis, corrective actions implementation and evaluation of the results.
•    Provide technical guidance to the electrical maintenance and production teams.
•    Develop and deliver training in relevant areas of expertise.
•    Develop preventive and predictive programs for area related equipment.
•    Assist in the development of Standard Operation Procedures (SOP’s) Safe Job.
•    Analysis (SJA’s) and Work Instructions (WI) for Annealing & Pickling area.
•    Develop Lock Out Try Out (LOTO) procedures for related area equipment.
•    Maintain environmental and safety compliance requirements.
•    Administration of electrical technical documents and ensures that documentation is up to date.
•    Planning manpower and resource allocations related to electrical systems and activities. Ensure that there are spare components/parts for all equipment and that they have been accurately recorded on the Planned Maintenance software.
•    Any other activities that may be required or requested to support the business.

Physical requirements:

•    Ability to utilize personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toes shoes, goggles, respirator, safety harness, safety line, flotation gear, etc.) safely per OSHA standards
•    Must have the ability to climb in a safe manner (climbing as a minimum includes stairs and ramps) same as ability to walk long distances and demonstrate good balance on uneven terrain or maneuvering obstacles
•    Ability to withstand exposure to elevated ambient temperature for extended periods of time
•    Must be able to work in extreme heat
•    Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, vibrations, dust and asphalt
•    Must be able to work in a high noise environment where the use of hearing protection is required
•    Ability to frequently use hand or fingers to handle or feel objects/materials
•    Ability to work in areas with strong magnetic fields
•    Bend, twist, lift, stand, walk, reach, see, move, and hear as required by specific position 
•    Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms
•    Must be able to communicate utilizing radios, phones and/or intercom systems 
•    Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs. utilizing proper lifting techniques
•    Ability to safely use power and hand tools 
•    Ability to safely operate powered industrial vehicles and equipment for tasks and diagnostic purposes, including overhead cranes. 
 
Salary range: $76,200-104,700
