Description
Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is a commercial service provider specializing in skilled trade services. As an Automotive Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairs and inspections on stake beds, trucks, vans and various construction equipment. The ideal candidate should have at least three years of recent mechanic experience with a strong mechanical gasoline and diesel aptitude, troubleshooting skills and practice safety guidelines. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance, including oil and filter changes, tune-ups, and brake replacements
- Must be able to perform work from the Floor Creepers, Two-Post lifts, Jack Stands or In-Ground Lifts
- Inspect and diagnose engines, transmissions, and other components using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Collaborate with supervisors, managers, and internal teams to provide updates on repair status and job requirements
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment while strictly adhering to all safety protocols
- Perform test drives of vehicles in compliance with company guidelines
- Assist with additional duties as needed to support departmental operations
Requirements
- At least three years of recent experience as an automotive mechanic
- Proficient in English communication, with the ability to write reports and emails clearly and effectively
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the shift
- Valid driver’s license, with the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and motor vehicle background check
