Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing plant equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role involves hands-on work with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, supporting both routine maintenance and facility improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to internal quality policies, procedures, and work instructions.
 - Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure a safe working environment.
 - Perform repairs and overhauls on plant equipment including vibratory tumblers, high energy disks/barrels, and abrasive blasters.
 - Conduct electrical diagnostics and apply Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
 - Review technical manuals and plant usage records to recommend and perform preventive maintenance tasks.
 - Assist with facility improvement projects and equipment installations.
 - Set up and run wiring, plumbing, and other utilities for new equipment as needed.
 
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related maintenance or technical role.
 - Strong understanding of manufacturing environments and equipment.
 - Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
 - Experience with plumbing, electrical systems, and general facilities management.
 - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical instructions.
 - Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ANSI/ASME Y14.5).
 - Proficient in using inspection tools such as micrometers, indicators, height gauges, and profilometers.
 - Skilled in using common maintenance tools and equipment.
 - Self-directed with the ability to plan workflow and prioritize tasks independently.
 - Effective verbal communication skills.
 
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for sustained periods.
 - Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
