Bottle/Case Line Lead presso Tryon Distributing

ROLE OVERVIEW

This position is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the bottle line, ensuring product accuracy and production targets are met, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring a safe working environment. Responsibilities include supervising a team of operators, coordinating daily activities, and troubleshooting issues that may arise during production.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of bottle line operators to achieve production goals

• Train new employees on standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality standards

• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and feedback

• Provide recommendations to the Shift Supervisor for improved efficiency

• Coordinate daily production activities to ensure smooth operation of the bottle line

• Monitor production and adjust resources as needed to meet deadlines

• Inspect bottles to ensure accuracy and address any mispicks immediately

• Ensure all picks meet company standards of accuracy

• Work with the supervisor to address any issues of staff underperformance

• Promote and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to company safety policies and procedures

• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits

• Identify areas for improvement in the production process and implement solutions

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Must be 18 years or older

• Ability to lift up to 175 lbs

• Must be a team player and able to work with minimal supervision

• Knowledge of safe work practices

• Ability to work in a warehouse environment in all weather conditions

• Ability to work required shift as defined

• Availability to work overtime as needed

• Ability to work within tight time constraints in a fast-paced environment

• Prior warehouse or distribution center experience

• Prior experience or certification on power equipment (forklift, pallet jack, reach truck)

Preferred

• High School Diploma or GED

• Previous supervisory or management experience

• Expertise in one or more functional areas within the warehouse

WORKING CONDITIONS

The employee will primarily perform work in warehouse areas.
The noise level is normally moderate.
