Schedule is 3:30pm-1:50am - 4 10-hour shift Monday thru Thursday. Impact of the Role:

• Performs manual tasks according to established procedures

Essential Functions:

• Maintains manufacturing equipment including conveyors, belts, engines, pumps, fans, etc. using hand and power tools.
• Tests, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment, as necessary.
• Determines and performs required maintenance (cleaning, lubricating, aligning/adjusting parts, calibrating, etc.).
• May also conduct periodic safety and maintenance inspections to evaluate equipment for replacement and identify wear and damage.
Required Qualifications:
• Required education and experience: Attending a Vocational / Technical School or internal training program OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education & Experience or Skillset; No prior experience needed
Preferred Qualifications:
• Preferred education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree
• Discipline/Major: Technical training preferred
• Knowledge, skills & abilities: Calibration. Mechanical Troubleshooting. Pneumatic Equipment. Preventive Maintenance. Reading Blueprints/Diagrams. Safety Inspections. Safety Policies and Procedures. Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Spare Parts Management. Equipment Repairs. Mechanical Maintenance. Mechanical Systems. Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Physical Requirements:
• Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.
• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
• May need to stand for long periods of time.
• Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
• May be requested to work a different shift.
• This position is Safety-Sensitive.
