Job Title: Part-Time Non-Credit Korean Language Trainer
Reports to: Director of Workforce Development
Position Summary:
MCCC’s Workforce Development Division seeks a dynamic and dedicated part-time Non-Credit Korean Language Trainer to teach undergraduate-level 1 Korean language course. The trainer will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in beginner Korean. The curriculum should foster cultural understanding, and supporting students in developing proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
Responsibilities:
- Teach assigned Korean language courses in accordance with the Act 335 for Level 1.
- Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and activities to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, participation, and other methods.
- Provide timely feedback and academic support to students.
- Incorporate Korean cultural elements into instruction to promote cross-cultural understanding.
- Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and course records.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Education and/or a related field.
- Native or near-native proficiency in Korean and strong command of English.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Employment Details:
- Compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience.
