    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

     
    •        Collaborate with grade level team in the PLC model to support student achievement
    •       Prepare and teach all subject content/6th grade standards
    •      Assess student progress and use data to guide instructional decisions
    •       Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic and social-emotional needs of all students
    •       Collaborate regularly with 6th grade math and Science/Social Studies teachers to ensure       consistency and alignment across content areas
    •       Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
    •       Communicate regularly with families regarding academic progress, behavior, and classroom events
    •       Implement accommodations and modifications as outlined in IEPs and 504 Plans
    •       Integrate technology to enhance instruction and student engagement
    •       Monitor student behavior and implement classroom management strategies in alignment with school-wide expectations
    •       Supervise students during assigned duties, such as arrival, dismissal, lunch, and transitions
    •       Participate in professional development and implement best practices in instruction and assessment
     

    Contract Days: 52 Days (dependent on maternity leave)

     

    Salary: Per the master contract

    Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 

     
    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Appropriate Indiana Education Licensure

    • Able to work effectively and communicate with a wide range of students, staff and administration.

    • Proficient and competent demonstration of reading and writing capabilities.  

    • Strong human relations skills, including professional tact, diplomacy and presentation.

    • Multi-tasking ability and strong organizational skills.

    • Ability to utilize 21st century technological skills to enhance teaching and learning.


    Physical Requirements: 
    • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. 

    • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards

    • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
