Medical Assistant - Gastroenterology Practice
Join a dynamic and busy gastroenterology practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support our teams in Wethersfield, Enfield, and South Windsor. This position offers a 4 day work week, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience
- Assist physicians during patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready
- Collect patient medical histories and document accurately in electronic health records
- Take vital signs and perform basic clinical tasks as directed
- Provide patient education and instructions as needed
- Schedule appointments and follow-up visits
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas
- Adhere to all safety, privacy, and confidentiality protocols

Requirements
- Ability to travel to our Enfield, South Windsor, and Wethersfield office locations
- High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Previous experience in a clinical or medical office setting is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
