Job Description:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Experience in Vantage-One/wmA is mandatory
  • 5 years of strong experience in development in the following skills (COBOL, VSAM, IBM, DB2 Tools)
  • Development, Coding, Customization, Product Development, Bug fixing, and Developing code by languages like JCL COBOL on Vantage-One products
  • Technical skillset Mainframe, COBOL, VSAM, IBM tools, DB2, EZT, JCL, Microfocus.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to team efforts, acting as a subject matter expert in specific domains
  • Assist in solving complex technical challenges, researching and proposing solutions
  • Debug and troubleshoot production issues, working closely with operations and support teams
  • Contribute to the assessment and adoption of new technologies and best practices.
  • Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and knowledge sharing

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Live within commutable distance from our DXC office: 100, Centerview Drive, Suite 100, Nashville TN 37214-3439, hybrid job
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience developing Life Insurance products is mandatory
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in the insurance industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in Vantage/WMA
  • Strong programming and debugging skills
  • Familiarity with software development practices and methodologies. Scrum/Waterfall are ideal
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good team collaboration and communication abilities
  • Willingness to take ownership of complex technical challenges

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Domain Life Insurance (LOMA 280 or 290 will be added advantage) will be preferred

Work Environment:

  • Laptop, docking station, monitors, headset will be provided
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30am to 4pm EST would be preferred but flexible
  • This position is designated as 2 days hybrid, commuting to our onsite DXC office: 100, Centerview Drive, Suite 100, Nashville TN 37214-3439. Candidates would need to live within a commutable distance (50 miles maximum)
