Turner Industries Group, LLC has an opening for Facilities Maintenance to join our Team in the Decatur, AL area. The facilities maintenance employee will be responsible for performing a large variety of duties throughout the entire facility, including but not limited to, groundskeeping, trash pickup, small painting jobs, preventive and on-demand work orders.
Qualification Standards:
- High school or equivalent
- Preferably one (1) to two (2) years of experience in specified skill
- Basic knowledge of hand tools
- Pre-employment qualification test if applicable
- Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
- Hazard Communication orientation/test
- Turner Industries Group, LLC Indoctrination
- OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87)
- Job site orientation
- Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
- Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
- Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace
Functional Requirements:
- Read and sign off on JSA prior to starting shift
- Crane operations, mowing, weed eating, cleaning, sweeping, stacking, loading, grinding, digging, spreading and leveling dirt and gravel
- Lifts, carries and holds building materials, tools and supplies
- Cleans tools, equipment, materials and work areas
- Mixes, spreads or pours concrete, asphalt, gravel or other materials
- Joins, wraps and seals sections of pipe
- Performs a variety of non-machine tasks, such as removing forms from set concrete, filling expansion joints with asphalt, placing culvert sections in trench, etc.
- Spends time on one job or may be transferred from task to task as the project progresses to completion
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
Compensation:
Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
