Position Summary and Objective

The Deputy Director plays a crucial role in our domestic security operations function. This position assists in managing the day-to-day operations of a residential security team providing static and physical security for clients. The position will be based in a designated site in McLean, VA.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of residential security and executive personal protection
  • Oversee the scheduling of residential security and executive protection teams as well as Team Leaders
  • Monitor schedules for best practices of assignments and budget
  • Monitor and track expenses that pertain to overtime, training, licensing, and equipment
  • Coordinate/oversee training for residential security and executive protection teams
  • Review and approve expenses for operational needs
  • Oversee and coordinate vehicle maintenance
  • Oversee the approval of bi-weekly timecards
  • Oversee and approve PTO requests
  • Act as hiring manager for onboarding/offboarding of employees
  • Address client needs and concerns
  • Respond to Company needs and concerns
  • Other duties as assigned
Competencies and Attributes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Proficient with applications such as Word, Excel, Google Sheets, and Teams
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Ability to deliver a high level of customer service to clients
  • Able to provide briefs in a professional manner to clients and Company
  • Ability to interact with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public in a professional manner

Qualifications and Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree; master’s degree preferable
  • 7+ years of security experience including 5+ years of executive protection experience
  • 5+ years of security management experience
  • Basic medical first aid training, AED; CPR certification preferred
  • Current DCJS Personal Protection Specialist (PPS) (Required)
  • Concealed Carry Permit (CCW) (Required)
  • Accredited driver training is preferred

Position Type and Schedule
  • Regular Full-Time (RFT) Exempt
  • Forty-hour workweek, weekend and evenings as required
  • Salary Range: $135,000 - $150,000
  • May require domestic travel
  • 24/7 availability to Client or Company
