Hope For Youth has openings for a Community Psychiatric Supports and Treatment (CPST) Worker in our CMHRS Department. Hope For Youth is a nonprofit organization specializing in child welfare services. For over 50 years, Hope for Youth strives to provide positive outcomes for children, adolescents, and families. A CPST Worker would assist children, and their families achieve stability in their home, set goals, and create interpersonal relationships. This person would also provide crisis management and counseling. This position is part time with flexible hours based on the needs of the program and clients.
Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST) services are goal-directed supports and solution-focused interventions intended to address challenges associated with a behavioral health need and to achieve identified goals or objectives as set forth in the child's treatment plan. CPST services include the activities necessary to correct or ameliorate conditions discovered during the initial assessment visits. CPST is a face-to-face intervention with the child/youth, family/caregiver or other collateral supports. This is a multi-component service that consists of therapeutic interventions such as counseling, as well as function OLP, to address identified rehabilitative needs with a comprehensive treatment plan. Services are delivered in a trauma informed, culturally and linguistically competent manner.
What You'll Do:
👉 Provide individual, group, and family therapeutic services
👉 Support youth through psychosocial rehabilitation and vocational training
👉 Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to achieve positive client outcomes
👉 Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with OMH guidelines
👉 Deliver services that are trauma-informed, culturally, and linguistically competent
👉 Assist with discharge planning and provide transportation as needed
👉 Maintain documentation, reports, and case notes
👉 Participate in supervision, training, and professional development
What We're Looking For:
✔ Master's Degree (or higher) in a related field and 1 year of experience working with children/adolescents and families
OR
✔ Bachelor's Degree with certification in an Evidence-Based Practice (consistent with CPST services)
OR
✔ Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of applicable experience (children's mental health, addiction, foster care/child welfare, juvenile justice, or related field)
Additional Requirements:
Valid NYS Driver's License in good standing
Reliable personal vehicle for work-related travel
Strong writing, organizational, and computer skills (Microsoft Office & EMR systems)
Ability to meet physical requirements of the job (walking, sitting, standing, bending, stair climbing, driving, etc.)
This opportunity is being offered as Part-Time, 10-20 hour Weekdays/Weekends, based on client needs
