Dozer Operator (Sizewell C)

Main Duties:

- Operate bulldozers to push, spread, and level soil, gravel, sand, and other materials.
- Conduct daily pre-start checks and safety inspections on the machine.
- Follow site plans, markings, and instructions from supervisors to achieve grading and compaction  requirements.
- Clear and prepare land for construction by removing vegetation, topsoil, or obstructions.
- Create and maintain slopes, embankments, and drainage contours.
- Operate dozers safely in close proximity to workers, equipment, and utilities.
- Monitor terrain and machine performance to avoid overloading or damage.
- Maintain and clean equipment regularly to ensure optimal functionality.
- Report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.
- Adhere strictly to site safety regulations and environmental policies.

Requirements:

- Valid Dozer Operator ticket (e.g., CPCS, NPORS)
- Previous experience operating bulldozers on active job sites (1yr + preferred).
- Experience working in construction, mining, or civil infrastructure environments.
- Strong understanding of ground conditions and earthmoving principles.
- Ability to grade and level to tight tolerances using visual reference or GPS (if equipped).
- Excellent situational awareness and understanding of site safety.
- Capable of reading and interpreting site drawings or markers.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with other site workers and plant operators.
