Location – Geneva, Switzerland
The Senior Manager serves as a technical expert in outsourcing taste ingredients, applying advanced chemistry and process knowledge—particularly in crystallized ingredients—and ensuring effective collaboration with internal and external partners in both French and English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying potential outsourcing partners per project, considering geopolitical factors, and engaging in preliminary discussions.
- Securing legal agreements needed for sharing sensitive data contained in technical packages and ensuring regulatory compliance information (ISO, Kosher, Halal) is communicated properly.
- Translating procedures accurately, highlighting key steps with safety and quality rationales, providing analytical methods and samples, and assisting partners with laboratory tests and validation processes, while ensuring no dsm-firmenich site-specific details are shared.
- Visiting partner sites for evaluations, audits, writing visit reports, coordinating logistics and contracts with business and procurement, and facilitating regulatory compliance and quality assurance collaboration.
- Overseeing pilot trials, validating samples, observing industrial-scale production, troubleshooting, and maintaining close contact with business and procurement teams throughout the process.

You Bring:
- A PhD in Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of laboratory and industrialization experience in chemical related industry.
- Proficiency in using databases (e.g. LIMS, SAP. etc.), scientific literature resources, and specific software tools like ChemDraw and Chem3D.
- Fluency in French and English.
- Strong communication skills, experience in collaboration with external and internal stakeholders, negotiation skills.
- Open minded approach and cultural sensitivity.
- Open to travel (up to 6-8 weeks per annum in total).
