About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Medical Coding Freshers to join our healthcare team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals who have completed medical coding training and are looking to start their career in the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, a basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, and a keen interest in learning and applying ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS) to patient diagnoses and procedures
• Review medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness of codes assigned
• Maintain compliance with industry guidelines and organizational policies
• Assist in preparing coding-related reports as required by supervisors
• Collaborate with senior coders, auditors, and team members for guidance and training
• Maintain confidentiality of patient health information (HIPAA compliance)
• Participate in regular training sessions to enhance coding knowledge and skills
Requirements
Qualifications and Prerequisites:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or any healthcare-related field (preferred)
- Certification or training in Medical Coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) is an added advantage
- Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Good communication and comprehension skills in English
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
