Role: Senior Data Governance Specialist
Location: Kharadi Pune India or Wroclaw, Poland

The Senior Data Governance Specialist will define and implement governance solutions for Product Master Data, supporting business and data strategy initiatives. Partnering with process teams, integrators, and leadership, this role will drive data quality, resolve governance issues, and ensure compliance with regulatory and strategic requirements. The specialist will establish and enforce enterprise-wide data governance policies, standards, and practices to enhance the quality and value of core data assets in line with S+N’s long-term goals.
What will you be doing?
- Establish and govern an enterprise-wide data governance, data quality and data management roadmap, including necessary IT solutions and/or external services.
- Serve as a liaison between business and IT and ensure that data related requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and well understood.
- Proactively champions the value of information (data) as a strategic business asset and revenue generator by providing the business and strategy teams with ideas and promoting those ideas into action, including developing and implementing communication, learning, changing management and adoption plan.
- Create and maintain DG policies, playbook(s), processes, procedures for guiding various data management processes, including adoption of data security and privacy, data quality control and data dissemination activities.
- Align data management practices with regulatory requirements.
- Lead the creation, maintenance and monitoring of the DG policies, processes, procedures, and playbook(s) for guiding the data management aspects of the Enterprise Data Lake.
- Working with the business units, helping solve data quality/availability issues and work with the data engineers and data scientists.
- Define and establish the analytics governance for the use cases worked by the Enterprise Data and Analytics team.
- Serve as the technical lead to enable the DG tools across the business units.
- Serve as a liaison between Business and Functional areas and technology to ensure that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning.
- Serve as a change agent in maturing our data use and management - defining and managing rollout strategies, user adoption and overall change management.
- Identify new business opportunities & automation opportunities.
- Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements.
- Participates as Subject Matter Expert in Data Governance projects.
- Working knowledge of Master Data management tools/apps: IDQ; Embarcadero; Winshuttle, EFLOW, Appian, Service Now, Alation, etc.
What will need to be successful?
- Min of 5+ years of relevant experience in an organization with large-scale Data Governance, Data management, and Data quality operations.
- 2+ years of experience in working with a data quality tool.
- Knowledgeable in tools used to identify and manage structured and unstructured data
- Strong background and working knowledge in end-to-end data management principles.
- Strong background and working knowledge of data quality improvements.
- Have a working knowledge of core data / analysis tools particularly Informatica, Winshuttle, Alation MS Excel, Business Objects, SAP SQVI, Power BI, etc.
- Working knowledge of Master Data management tools/apps: IDQ; Embarcadero; Winshuttle, EFLOW, Appian, Service Now, Alation, etc.
- Ability to work across multiple source system including various SAP versions, Axapta, Eflow, PTC Windchill etc.
- Experience discussing complex and new topics in a simple, easy-to-understand way.
- Strong communicator at technical levels, Demonstrated teamwork skills.
- Strong, demonstrated writing and presentation skills
- A good understanding of data management principles and best practice.
- Good interpersonal skills – ability to build good relationships with virtual teams and senior Leadership.
- Advanced Excel skills, strong data analysis skills, attention to details.
