Medical Logistics Technician presso GiaCare Inc.

In anticipation of a future government contract award, GiaCare Inc. is currently accepting applications for experienced, civilian Medical Logistics Technician (Med Log Tech) to work alongside the 96th Medical Group, in support of Eglin Air Force Base (near Destin, Florida).

Requirements

Degree/Education:  High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.  

Certifications:  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Board Certification:  None

Licensure:  None  

Qualifications: 

•  Shall provide material management duties throughout individual sections of Medical Logistics, ie equipment management, customer service, warehouse, acquisitions, contracts & inventory management.   

•  Shall perform duties in the inventory management section as follows: Determines stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs, and projected depletion. 

•  Within funding limitations, determine when and how many items will be ordered and adjust replenishment levels for nonrecurring or not previously carried items. 

•  Use experienced judgment and consults with customer to determine quantities and time frames. 

•  Monitor the stock status listing making additions, changes, or deletions to excess, requisitioning, shipment, and/or issue exception codes. 

•  Adjust warehouse and using activity storeroom supply levels with respect to DMLSS reports as needed. 

•  Conduct, in coordination with using activities, extensive and exhaustive research of applicable information sources to locate more cost effective, available substitutes and new products. 

•  Completes complex requisitions. 

•  Requisition items to replenish stocks so as to maintain stock at prescribed levels. 

•  Identify and resolve potential inventory discrepancies. 

•  Code and input revised unit prices, purchase description changes, revise delivery dates, and cancellation data so that accurate information is available to users. 

•  Review computer output products to ensure accuracy. 

•  Distribute and suspense products as appropriate. 

•  Take appropriate corrective action to correct invalid data. 

•  Assist all sections researching and reducing backorder list.   13 of 19 Page 13 of 19 MQS2-NG Task Order Template Type I Configuration as of 12 Feb 25 •  Perform duties in the Medical Equipment Management Office (MEMO) as follows: Perform property accountability and management. Review, manage, coordinate, and prepare documents for the procurement of medical equipment. Coordinate with higher headquarters as necessary for routing medical equipment packages. Research medical equipment due ins from either source of supply or contracting agency and provide timely status to using activities. Maintain an accounting and reporting system for nonexpendable medical equipment. Reconcile medical equipment record balances using property inventory balances and DMLSS electronic products. Correct routine discrepancies (e.g., recording errors, errors in properly identifying equipment). Maintain inventory of nonexpendable medical equipment for using activities in accordance with established guidelines and procedures. Resolve property record discrepancies through reconstruction of supply transactions and/or extensive search of supply records, computer listings, etc. Work in conjunction with MEMO personnel, to process excess equipment for Department of Defense (DOD) reutilization. Perform inventories of medical equipment as required by regulation and follows appropriate Air Force Instruction to remedy all discrepancies.
