Skillforce is seeking experienced Residential Form and Finish Carpenters for contract-to-hire opportunities in the Cedar Rapids, IA area. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of residential projects with the potential to transition into a long-term, permanent position. The anticipated schedule for this role is 40+hours a week, and pay is up to $26/hr. depending upon experience. 

Responsibilities

• Construct, install, and repair wooden structures and frameworks, including formwork for concrete.

• Perform high-quality finish carpentry work such as trim, doors, windows, cabinetry, and molding installation.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.

• Measure, cut, and assemble materials with precision.

• Operate hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of residential carpentry experience (form and finish work).

• Proficiency with measuring, cutting, and assembling wood materials.

• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or scaffolding when needed.

• Must have reliable transportation and basic tools.
