AME Engineer- Execution (m/w/d)
As part of the EU & Africa JIT and Structures AME team, the AME Engineer is tasked with supporting the execution of projects to defined standards in accordance with Lear’s AME Roadmap. The projects will be grouped to allow continuity in the project delivery. Reporting to the AME Manager, the role will play a key role within AME team tasked with overseeing the implementation, requirements installation and start-up of projects in the EU&AF plants. Additional tasks performed by the AME Engineer include ensuring project implementation is conducted to Lear standards, technically interfacing with suppliers, creating work instructions and specifications to be utilized within the plants as well as and identifying training needs within the facility.
Your tasks:
- Work in close collaboration with Central AME CoE well as Plant Operations and EHS teams
- Coach Plant teams and share knowledge from the project execution to support the solution in serial operation
- Work with central AME, Purchasing and Commercial teams to support the Lear’s RFQ process.
- Work with plant teams to ensure that there is a clear business case or operational need for each project.
- Ensure Lear AME standards and best practices are deployed and adhered to
- Participate in discussions with key stakeholders in relation to execution strategy, timing and implementation of AME projects
- Ensure a safe working environment, follow, support and maintain working practices, comply with all relevant HSE legislation and local policies and procedures
Your profile:
- Experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role, Continuous Improvement role or a Project Management role.
- Experience in supporting execution of advanced manufacturing project into operational environment
- Strong analytical skills / problem solving skills with accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrates clear understanding of ergonomic requirements with ability to provide solutions to problems
- Showcases understanding for LEAR IT systems and logistics concept
- Confidence in presenting to peers and team leaders from plant and central organization
- Intermediate level of Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
- Willingness and flexibility to travel within the role
- Ensures a safe working environment, follow, support, and maintain working practices, comply with all relevant HSE legislation and local policies and procedures.
ADVANTAGEOUS
- Project management experience with project budget control.
- Understanding of CE certification requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE
- University Degree ascertained in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or comparable discipline
- 3-5 years work experience in a related field or position
- Fluency in English language both written and verbal.
