An exciting career opportunity arises to join the City of Parramatta as a street sweeper in our growing Waste and Cleansing team. 

About the role 

City of Parramatta are currently seeking skilled and experienced street sweeper operators to join our growing team to ensures Parramatta’s Public Domain is maintained and improved to enhance the appearance of the city and to promote Parramatta as Australia’s next great city! 

Permanent Full-Time position Monday-Friday-2.30am - 11:30am

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Drive and operate a variety of plant equipment including street sweepers.
  • Maintain plant & equipment.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and undertake other tasks as directed. 
  • Carry out an agreed program of works to ensure the timely and effective completion of all objectives. 

About You 

We are looking for someone with: 

  • Hold a current NSW MR Driver’s License
  • White Card
  • Previous experience in the safe operation and maintenance of plant and Street Sweepers. 
  • Competent understanding of small and heavy plant operations applicable to Cleansing Services. 

What’s on offer:  

We are offering an attractive remuneration from $68,111 plus 12% Superannuation. 

This position will attract allowances in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023, this could include the Adverse Working Conditions Level Allowance.
