Boone Memorial Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Nursing team full-time on the Night Shift. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population while working in a supportive team environment.

Who We Are
Boone Memorial Health (BMH) is a growing, rural Critical Access Health System located in Madison, West Virginia. At the heart of our system is a 25-bed inpatient hospital, supported by a network of clinics and specialty services across Boone County and surrounding areas. Our Nursing Floor provides individualized, patient-centered care for those requiring hospitalization, and our nurses are the foundation of that mission.
Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to inpatients, including assessments, care planning, medication administration, and evaluation.

Monitor patient conditions, respond to changes, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.

Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other clinical staff to coordinate and deliver quality care.

Support patients and families with education, updates, and emotional support.

Document care accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).

Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of West Virginia

Prior experience in inpatient or acute care nursing preferred

Current certifications in BLS (required); ACLS preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Compassionate and professional approach to patient care

Physical demands
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- May require prolonged periods of standing, walking, moving, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, squatting, grasping and arm-hand coordination on a continuous basis.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Travel required
- None expected.
Required education and experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Postsecondary completion of an associate degree or higher in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university or a diploma nursing program.
- Successful completion of NCLEX-RN exam.
- Current license through West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses.
- Minimum of six months of recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
Preferred education and experience
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- EMR Service, 1 year (Preferred)
