Job Summary:

We are seeking a caring, skilled, and dedicated Oral Surgery/Dental Assistant to join our team full-time. In this role, you will work in Kissimmee and assist our oral surgeons during various procedures. Your contribution will ensure our patients receive top-notch care and a positive experience from start to finish, while helping maintain the smooth operation of our practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist oral surgeons with procedures like extractions, implants, and biopsies.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and equipment.
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain equipment following infection control guidelines.
  • Provide patient education on pre- and post-operative care.
  • Take and develop X-rays as needed.
  • Record medical histories and vital signs accurately.
  • Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
  • Provide compassionate chair-side assistance.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies.
  • Ensure effective communication with patients to keep them informed and comfortable.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assisting program preferred.
  • Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) or Oral Surgery Assistant (OSA) preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in oral surgery or dental assisting.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
  • Proficiency in English (bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus).
