Job Description:
Role Summary/ Purpose:
The VP, Finance – Technology Leader reports directly to the SVP, FP&A - Cost & Productivity and serves as a member of the Cost & Productivity leadership team. This role is directly accountable for the planning, forecasting and management of the ~$1.5B Technology budget. This position serves as a critical role supporting the Technology Senior Leadership Team and provides leadership to a team of both US-based and Asia-based professionals. The VP, Finance – Technology Leader drives shareholder value by driving cost discipline and identifying and executing on productivity initiatives. This role provides strategic support to the Technology organization, enabling the team to evaluate cost/benefits of investments and maximize ROI.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide financial expertise and leadership in establishing the annual operating plan and navigating a dynamic environment to execute on the Technology budget
- Deliver strategic financial decision support to all Technology SLT (Chief Information Officer, Chief Information Security Officer, Head of Engineering, Head of Governance and Head of Strategic Relationships) and their teams
- Provide regular financial updates to the EVP, Chief Technology and Operating Officer
- Partner with Technology leadership in planning and executing the delivery of key enterprise initiatives, including the migration to the Public Cloud and developing strategies for use of Artificial Intelligence
- As part of IT Leadership teams, drive functional initiatives, evaluate investment decisions and influence strategy to ensure productivity & profitability
- Provide oversight of the Service Delivery Solutions function, understanding the drivers of costs related to statements, letters and plastics, and drive opportunities for productivity
- Directly manage and lead a team of four US-based professionals, with dotted-line oversight of an Asia-based team
- Perform monthly closing, pacing and reporting duties and provide insights and guidance to stakeholders through analysis and reporting
- Deliver financial analysis and summary for IT, including identification of key drivers of the results, and areas of opportunity and risks in the respective sub-functions
- Assist with ad hoc analysis as required
- Partner with Technology teams to:
- Advise and coordinate with cross functional project teams
- Assure adequate Technology Investment Program spend front-end controls and back-end reporting
- Execute the labor capitalization reporting process across the enterprise
- Drive growth & productivity projects and awareness in IT and across all functions dependent on IT platforms
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or in lieu of degree, 12 years equivalent experience in FP&A.
- Minimum 8 years experience in FP&A ar a large corporation.
- Minimum 5 years experience with financial systems e.g. Hyperion, Discoverer
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft applications Excel/PowerPoint
Desired Characteristics:
- IT Finance experience
- MBA or Master Degree in finance or accounting and/or CPA
- Passionate, proactive, responsible, resourceful, detail- oriented, hard-working and willingness to learn
- Strong analytical and process skills, experience with financial models, and experience analyzing data to provide meaningful results
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proven leadership abilities and the ability to lead/engage on cross-functional projects
- Strong verbal communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with staff (at all levels) and to develop a clear, concise message both externally and internally
- Excellent organizational, planning and prioritization skills
- Strong Managerial & team building skills
Grade/Level: 14
The salary range for this position is 150,000.00 - 250,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
