Essential Job Statements
Strategic Capital Planning
Lead the development and execution of long-range capital plans for healthcare facilities.
Partner with C-suite executives, clinical leaders, supply chain, legal and finance teams to align infrastructure investments with strategic goals.
Partner with the Vice President of Real Estate on the Strategic Growth Council recommended projects and the Request for Development Executive Committee to prioritize and active approved projects.
Program & Project Leadership
Direct and lead multiple concurrent projects across the full lifecycle— leading in design and transition and assist with construction to occupancy.
Manage program budgets up to $1B, ensuring cost control, risk mitigation, and schedule adherence.
Lead the process for collaboration with supply chain, legal, and finance for initiation of approved projects.
Lead the design and transition of projects in the real estate portfolio.
Serves as a subject matter expert on design and construction regulations for the real estate team.
Assist project managers to initiate projects to ensure real estate projects are on time and on budget and meet the needs of the organization.
Governance & Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the primary liaison to executive leadership, and external partners.
Lead governance processes for significant transactions directed by the board of directors, including steering committees, capital review boards, and regulatory agencies.
Facilitate transparent communication and decision-making across all levels of the organization.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure all projects meet healthcare regulatory standards (e.g., CMS, Joint Commission, NFPA, ADA).
Implement robust risk management frameworks to address financial, operational, and construction risks.
Maintain rigorous documentation and audit readiness throughout the project lifecycle.
Serve as the subject matter on Facility Guideline Institute guidelines.
Team & Vendor Oversight
Lead internal teams and external consultants including architects, engineers, and collaborate with construction managers.
Negotiate and manage contracts in collaboration with legal for selected vendors, ensuring performance and accountability.
Foster a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement to ensure high reliability

Employment Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor’s in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
Preferred Education:
Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
Licensure/Certification Required:
PMP certification, Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
Licensure/Certification Preferred:
Minimum Qualifications
Years and Type of Required Experience
15+ years of progressive experience in healthcare real estate or capital project management.
Proven leadership of projects exceeding $100M; experience with $500M+ programs strongly preferred.
Deep knowledge of healthcare operations, regulatory environments, and capital finance.

Mastery of project delivery methods (e.g., IPD, CMAR, Design-Build).
