Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. This position is dedicated to the operation of a sit-down forklift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, stacking, loading, and unloading materials and products within the warehouse. You will play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting shipping and receiving activities, and contributing to a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift to move, load, unload, and stack materials within the warehouse.
• Safely navigate the forklift in tight spaces and high-traffic areas, following all safety protocols.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
• Verify incoming shipments against documentation and report discrepancies.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper placement and securing of goods.
• Use forklift attachments as needed for specialized material handling.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including aisles and storage zones.
• Accurately record inventory movements and follow inventory control procedures.
• Collaborate with warehouse team members to fulfill orders and meet delivery timelines.
• Support general warehouse tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and forklift operations.
• Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks in a warehouse setting.
• Excellent coordination, attention to detail, and record-keeping skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Steel-toe boots required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in high-volume distribution centers.
• Familiarity with cycle counting and inventory systems.
• Knowledge of order picking and shipping processes.
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
• Safety-first mindset and adaptability.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour (based on experience)
• Benefits: Health, dental, vision, and ancillary benefits available after 90 days
