JOB OVERVIEW:
The Monitor is a key contributor to make sure the cafeteria run smoothly and as well as creating a positive customer experience. He/she is the representative to place out condiments, silverware, and help the students in any way during their time in the cafeteria. The wiping down tables after the children leave with a sanitizing solution to get ready for the next set of students entering the cafeteria.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Setting up of condiments and utensils before lunch service. Ensure that adequate supplies are maintained during the entire meal period.
- All monitors must wear gloves and change them when needed. Hair covers or other required protective coverings are required for sanitation.
- Monitor and help all students whenever needed. If any problems arise you must bring that to the manager on duty in your particular building.
- Do not place hands on students in any way.
- Wipe all tables with a sanitizing solution after each class of students leave to make the table ready for the next group of students entering the cafeteria.
- Clean and sanitize all tables at the end of your shift. Help with bringing in the condiments and utensils to the kitchen at the end of lunch service.

Specific food service hygiene and dress code requirements are addressed separately in the employee manual.
- Employee reliability is key to exceptional customer service. Productive attendance during your scheduled hours and timeliness are essential. If unable to work your scheduled shift, reporting requirements are outlined in the employee manual.

Requirements
Education and/or Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
• Knowledge of foodstuffs is essential with some food production experience necessary
• Must be able to work at a moderate to fast pace
• Must possess basic math skills
