Job Description:The Art Director plays a pivotal role in shaping the creative vision for Aspen One, with a strong emphasis on luxury hospitality brand storytelling and multi-channel creative execution. Reporting to the Vice President of Creative, this position is responsible for developing and delivering high-impact campaigns across Aspen One’s hospitality portfolio, including hotels, restaurants, bars, and experiences, while also supporting resort, retail, and brand initiatives. The role requires extensive experience in photo and video art direction, from pre-production and shoot planning to on-set leadership and final asset delivery, with an understanding of how to capture the essence of luxury hospitality in both still and motion formats. This position reports to the Vice President of Creative.
The budgeted salary range for this position is $105,000 - $140,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions / Key Job Responsibilities
- Partner with the VP of Creative and key stakeholders across Aspen Hospitality and other business units to evolve and strengthen Aspen One’s visual identity.
- Lead the creation of fully integrated 360° campaigns for hospitality properties, F&B concepts, and destination experiences across paid, owned, and earned channels.
- Develop high-level creative concepts that translate the luxury hospitality guest experience into compelling visual storytelling.
- Direct all aspects of hospitality photography and video production—from art direction and shot lists to on-location leadership and final asset delivery.
- Partner closely with copywriters and Senior Graphic Designers to ensure cohesive messaging, design, and brand alignment.
- Mentor and lead members of the creative team, providing clear feedback, professional development, and quality control.
- Collaborate with hospitality marketing, PR, Events, Digital, and Retail teams to align creative execution with property-level and portfolio-level goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with property GMs, F&B leadership, and other stakeholders to ensure creative output supports the guest experience and business objectives.
- Collaborate with and direct external partners, including agencies, hospitality photographers, filmmakers, and production crews, ensuring work meets Aspen One’s creative expectations.
- Leverage and expand a network of freelance creative talent, including hospitality photographers, videographers, and stylists, to support property shoots and campaigns.
- Design and produce high-impact creative assets for hospitality marketing, including digital campaigns, social content, in-property collateral, and brand videos.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects from concept through final delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and brand standards are met.

Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Advertising, or related field—or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years in art direction, design, or creative leadership—luxury hospitality or lifestyle brand experience strongly preferred.
- Extensive experience directing hospitality photography and video productions, including F&B, interiors, lifestyle, and experiential content.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of luxury hospitality branding, typography, photography, and current design trends.
- Knowledge of photo and video production processes, including pre-production planning, on-location execution, and multi-use asset delivery.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and Figma.
- Knowledge of conceptual development and hands-on design execution.
- Proven ability to develop and execute cross-channel creative campaigns for hotels, resorts, restaurants, and luxury destinations.
- Skilled in directing and collaborating with creative teams, agencies, and freelance talent.
- Skilled in mentoring and developing creative team members.
- Ability to partner effectively with copywriters and designers to deliver cohesive creative work.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with hospitality marketing, PR, events, and digital teams.
- Ability to influence and present creative concepts to stakeholders at all levels, including property leadership and C-suite.
- Ability to maintain brand integrity while pushing creative boundaries.
- Ability to travel for hospitality and brand shoots, property openings, and campaign activations.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
• Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements
• No adverse or hazardous conditions
• Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance
