The Human Resources (HR) Department is seeking candidates who are interested in accounting or finance to join our Finance Team as an Intern/Fellow II. The internship program provides valuable work experience, the opportunity to develop employment skills, and incredible opportunities to network!
This part-time internship will be year-round with flexible hours averaging 20 hours per week (up to 1,040 hours per year), Monday through Friday at the HR Department in Redwood City, CA. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and available to start work in October or November.
NOTE: This is an extra-help, at-will assignment, paid on an hourly basis. Some extra help positions are eligible for benefits under the Affordable Care Act. Extra help employees are not guaranteed permanent status at the end of the assignment.
Position Duties
The Intern/Fellow II may assist with
- Fiscal, office, and administrative support;
- Research or data entry;
- Special projects; and
- Customer service to the public and internal customers.
Minimum Qualifications
To qualify, the following criteria must be met:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must successfully pass a background investigation prior to employment
Ideal candidates will have a desire to build professional relationships, develop new skills, and demonstrate a commitment to serving the community, as well as have the following competencies:
- Motivated high school graduate
- Knowledge or interest in accounting or finance
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including proper email etiquette
- Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and work effectively with others
- Strong attention to detail
- Research and problem-solving skills
