Level II Digital Radiographer GLM presso G&L Tube, LLC

Job Description:

We are looking to hire an enthusiastic and hardworking Level II Digital Radiographer at G&L Tube. This position is responsible for performing nondestructive testing (NDT) inspections, specifically Digital Radiography (DR) inspections, while ensuring compliance with company procedures and safety regulations. This role involves operating and maintaining NDT equipment, evaluating test results, and effectively communicating with clients. The position also includes training assistants and managing long-term projects, all while promoting a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

•  Perform Level II DR profile inspections and other NDE inspections as specified with the Company’s procedures.
•  Operate and maintain Digital Radiography equipment, software, and hardware as per company requirements and manufacturer’s recommendations.
•  Calculate, establish, and control the radiation area. 
•  Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results. 
•  Evaluate and interpret product results to the code of construction or customer specifications. 
•  Organize and report test results. 
•  Responsible for producing quality radiographs. 
•  Able to meet travel expectations. 
•  Capable of managing long term projects. 
•  Communicating with customer/client representatives on daily basis. 
•  Responsible for returning a completed product in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures. 
•  Required to establish and manage all safety procedures and functions throughout a project. 
•  Able to train assistants efficiently in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, procedures and G&L Tube’s written practice. 
•  Effective at meeting deadlines set forth by management or clientele.  
•  Maintain and promote a positive attitude while on projects. 

Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Current Level II Digital Radiography certification. 
• Valid State Radiographer’s card or IRRSP card. 
• A minimum of 80 hours of documented Radiography Level I and II training. 
• A minimum of 40 hours of documented Digital Radiography training. 
• 16 hours of documented DR Software/Hardware training (GE/Waygate or DR Tech preferred). 
• List of projects managed as a Level II Digital Radiographer. 

Preferred Qualifications & Experience 

• ANST Level II Certifications, or documented field hours and classroom education that meets or exceeds SNT-TC-1A or NAS-410 certification requirements. 
• Able to pass Company’s Level II certification process. 
• Able to read P&ID’s, SFD’s, and field drawings. 
• Accurately draw piping and isometric field sketches. 
• Level II DR weld quality experience.
