About the role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in architecting and developing Soteria’s managed detection and response platform, which will enable our cybersecurity experts to detect, analyze, respond to, and triage attacks within our customers’ environments. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the extreme scalability and reliability of our technology. Proactive identification of issues, development of effective solutions, enhancement of engineering and employee capabilities, and continuous learning from your colleagues' expertise will be key expectations.


What you'll do

  • Collaborate with product management, engineering (frontend and backend), and design teams to conceptualize and support the development of new customer-facing features.
  • Evaluate, implement, and maintain technologies that enhance the efficiency, performance, and reliability of Soteria’s product infrastructure and release processes.
  • Partner with team members to design, deploy, and operate the compute, storage, and network platforms for Soteria applications.
  • Work alongside business and product development teams to implement the infrastructure necessary to support their vision and strategy.
  • Translate designs and expertise into comprehensive documentation and automation for scalable operations.
  • Design, build, and support deployment strategies and technologies to facilitate agile development methodologies.
  • Contribute to architectural design decisions that enhance scalability and performance.
  • Mentor other engineers in solution best practices.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the software engineering team and the company as a whole.

Required Experience:

  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying scalable software solutions to public cloud production environments.
  • Proficiency in developing high-quality software using Go, Python, and/or Javascript (React) programming languages.
  • Expertise in designing APIs for integrating disparate software and storage solutions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience working within a platform team where other developers are primary stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Docker, including containerizing applications and Dockerfile best practices.
