The Lancaster County Career and Technology Center is seeking a Part-Time Safety Inspection Instructor for the
Adult Education Automotive Technology Program at the Willow Street Campus.
JOB SUMMARY |
The Safety Inspection Instructor will provide theoretical and hands-on instruction to students in activities and competencies designed to promote social, intellectual and employment growth. Specifically, the Safety Instructor will successfully fulfill the instruction and testing for CAT1 & 2.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/SKILLS/FUNCTIONS |
Assist students to develop skills which will enhance student ability to obtain and maintain employment. Develop appropriate course materials and aids including total written curriculum, lesson plans, instruction sheets, visual aids, and other related materials. Serve as mentor and teacher in the development of specific skills relevant to the automotive industry. Update/develop curriculum to keep current with industry standards and trends. Evaluate student progress and develop reports and other feedback materials/assessments.

POSITION SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS |
Knowledge and ability to teach the following courses: |
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE |
At least 5 years’ experience within the field One (1) year of teaching experience preferred PennDOT Safety Inspection Certification Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Current (within one year) Criminal (State and FBI) background check and Child Abuse Clearances

Salary: $31.50/ hour
Schedule: Teach 1 class per month (4 evenings)
